Dr. Tsang serves as the Chief Psychologist who plans, organizes, coordinates and manages KCDC. In her 26 years of forensic work she has conducted all levels of forensic evaluations, has testified as an expert witness, assists the Sheriff’s Office with pre-employment screenings, debriefings and is a member of the hostage negotiator’s team. She has worked with both victims and offenders and has held numerous private practices. She is certified in EMDR and sits on the Board of Directors for ILATSA.

Dr. Lancaster attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her Psy.D. in 2012. She completed her internship and pre-doctoral work at numerous state forensic hospitals and worked in a private practice conducting court-ordered evaluations, domestic violence group treatment, and individual and group sex offender specific treatment for clients at the state and federal level. She came to the Kane County Diagnostic Center in 2015 and currently holds the title of Training Director. Her clinical interests are in: Fitness to Stand Trial, Fitness to Parent, Miranda evaluations, Sanity evaluations, and Sex Offender evaluations.

Dr. VanOpstall received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in 2018. Her clinical interests include: forensic psychology, psychological assessment the Rorschach Inkblot Test, psychology of trauma and trauma therapy, and supervision.

Dr. Oliverio received his doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2015. He sought a variety of clinical experiences throughout his training to help support his present focus on psychological assessment in the forensic context.

Dr. Thomas received her doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University in 2015. Her clinical interests include: forensic psychology, psychological assessment, specialty courts, juvenile psychology, psychology of attachment and trauma, trauma therapy, and both diagnostic and therapy supervision.

Dr. O’Connor received her doctorate in clinical forensic psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2020. Her clinical interests include: forensic psychology, diagnostics, neuropsychology, sex offender assessment, and assessment of individuals with intellectual impairment.

Dr. Marevka obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in August 2024. She did her internship in Missouri and did her diagnostic practicum at KCDC. She has forensic and teaching experience and is expanding her clinical forensic skills at KCDC for her post-doctoral year.

Dr. Vera earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in August of 2025. She has had training experience at KCDC, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and community mental health. Dr. Vera enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and individuals with serious mental illness. Her clinical interests include forensic psychology, trauma-informed systems, and psychological assessment.
